COSMOLOGY AND GRAVITATION

The links below are to the Sections of the paper on the derivation of a new theory for the origin and existence of the Universe.

Introduction - The first section contains a title page, a brief abstract, a contents page, the main introduction and the critique on existing theories, i.e. the "Big Bang" theory and the Steady State Theory.

Universe - The second section provides a textual description and the mathematical derivation of the characteristics of the oriigin and existence of a Relativistic Domain Universe. The development is based on the existing theory of attractive gravitation and a new phenomena at the centre in which the direction of gravity is reversed and becomes repulsive. This is then shown to be the primary cause for the recession of the distant galaxies.

Hubble - Based upon the results of the previous Section, the third section derives a theoretical expression and associated numerical value for the Hubble Constant. The latter is then compared with a composite of both the historical, and the latest, empirically derived value and shows agreement to within 18%.

Discussion - The fourth Section provides a discussion on the results achieved and the cosmological implications.

Conclusions - Brief concluding remarks.

APPENDIX A - The Appendix provides a derivation of the combined gravitational and Doppler red shift of the spectral transmissions of a distant receding galaxy..
